General Administration : acquisition of real estate, lots and buildings, municipal office, archives, insurance contract, waste material contract, garbage and recycling pickup, personnel management, hiring, committees, communication, public relations, welcome kits, inter-municipal agreements, annexations, expropriations, census, surveys.
Finances: contracts, budget, financing, submissions, taxes, subsidies, land surveying.
PUBLIC SAFETY AND FIRE COMMITTEE

Sûreté du Québec, public safety, bon voisin bon œil (neighbourhood watch), emergency measures, force majeure, fire, prevention equipment, decency, monitoring animals.
TRANSPORTATION AND ROADS COMMITTEE
(Mrs. Robert Meyer, Mrs. Marc Ballard, Mrs. Marc St-Aubin)
Transportation : public transit, collective transport, paratransit.
Roads : street lighting, traffic, parking, road signs, civic numbers, guard rails, drainage, public ways and areas, bridges, culverts, structures, municipality vehicles and machinery, gravel, sand, calcium, gravel quarry, grading, scraping, road maintenance, snow removal, blasting.

Environmental Health: water purification and treatment, water distribution, storm drains, disturbances, healthiness, wells.
ENVIRONMENT AND TOWN PLANNING

Environment: drinking water, septic systems, protection of riverbanks and shoreline, harmful plants, use of pesticides, hazardous products, Tobacco Act, water conservation.
Town planning: land development, zoning, promotion and commercial and industrial development, urban renewal and restoration, heritage property, housing, demolition, municipal economic developments, Pact Rural.
RECREATION, CULTURE COMMITTEE, MADA
(Mrs. Marc St-Aubin, Mrs. Jean-Marc Chevalier, Mme Barbara Mapp)
Recreation hall, Club de la Bonne Entente hall, park and play areas, recreational equipment, exhibitions and fairs, service agreements with educational and religious groups, recreational activities, competitions, physical activities, courses.
Role and responsibilities of the committees
With the approval of the Council for each project, they must:
- Identify the needs, gather all pertinent information,
- Identify the goals and specify the measures and/or actions needed to attain them,
- Identify the priorities in each and every case and establish an action plan and a timetable for implementation,
- Allocate the services in proportion with the financial contribution required from the taxpayers,
- Utilise judiciously the services of the municipality,
- Write a report and make recommendations to the Council.
